Bad Movies Made Less Bad Presents:
Less cheese, less cringe, less exposition.

Main Changes

1. Show, don't tell whenever possible

2. Give the audience more respect and remove some of the obvious foreshadowing

3. Minimize Krull to make him more mysterious and hopefully give him a more intimidating impression than what we got.

4. Remove Dr. Paine's backstory and eventual symbiote merge. Instead, lets just focus on her "science over safety" ethos.

5. Mulligan's narrative that he "lost the symbiote that was created by Carnage at the end of the last movie and was given a new one at the Imperium Program" is removed. Instead, the original symbiote from Venom 2 is the one Mulligan still has.

Changes:

• Knull intro trimmed and dialogue reconfigured 

• MCU bar scene used from ending to my Venom 2 edit (trimmed Spider-man No Way Home Post Credit Scene)

• Multiverse line removed when Venom and Eddie arrive back in their universe

• Cocktail making sequence tightened

• Newscast tightened

• Dialogue tightened for decision to go to New York, shot of Statue of Libery extended for needed footage

• "I am Venom" line trimmed so they say it right the first time.

• Removed government calling in Strickland (they just show up after the camera saw Eddie)

• Dr. Paine's backstory is completely removed, phone FX and SFX to wake her up with repeated calling about the arrival by Mulligan.

• Tightened Dr. Paine's arrival to the lab, removing the photo in the car, her telling guard the age of cockroaches and him not knowing, and her interaction with the "parking attendant" guards

• Removed the "we contain them, you study them" discussion

• Removed mention of Mulligan being saved and bonding with a new symbiote

• Removed Strickland and Paine discussing Area 51 and her brother

• Removed Sadie in the room with Mulligan

• Removed the "Clean Suits" factor to seeing Mulligan, removing suit cleaning scene

• Removed Sadie and Strickland talking about Mulligan's panic attacks

• Removed Paine discussing "saving" Mulligan

• Removed Mulligan saying Paine is "broken too"

• Removed Sadie explaining that sound distresses them

• Removed Mulligan mentioning "safe haven"

• Removed Paine reaching in pain as Mulligan has his vision

• Tightened slightly Venom explaining Knull to Eddie

• Removed "Now that's horsepower!" line

• Removed Strickland and Paine talking about "safe haven"

• Removed second mention about clean suits with Mulligan's symbiote

• Removed Discussion on the bus about the "Nierika"

• Removed Eddie in Vegas saying the Nierika door is open

• Removed Eddie at the slot machine

• Removed soldier overexplaining where they found Eddie, rotoscoped two shots together to fix solder entering as Strickland is delivering his question about the Six

• Removed Strickland updating goverment with status, straight to requesting full control of the Imperium Program

• Tightened Mrs Chen dance 

• Removed Mrs Chen saying Xenophage is ugly

• Removed Sadie going the the basement for Venom (Her look beforehand is enough)

• Tightened Mulligan Symbiote talking to Eddie

• Tightened Strickland removing Eddie from his cell and shooting him

• Removed Sadie reaction shot to Xenophage

• Removed Mulligan Symbiote saying "Go!"

• Tightened sequence of symbiotes finding hosts, removed the shots of the container holding the symbiote fragments 

• Removed many of Sadie/Lasher's lines

• Removed Paine grabing the symbiote vial

• Removed symbiote duo walking around casually before seeing family falling

• Removed Knull shots when Xenophage "calls home"

• Removed Martin looking back and not leaving in the van

• Tightened soldier getting half eaten 

• Removed shot of Eddie watching Strickland be waived around on the Xenophage's tail

• Changed shot of Xenophage about to eat Eddie like everyone else, and instead used a shot of it roaring at Eddie

• Removed Strickland and Paine discussing her brother

• Removed Venom saying Eddie did it all himself

• Removed Strickland needing to use his passcode a second time

• Removed Sadie and Paine fleeing the explosion and releasing a symbiote, leaving them just looking at the wreckage (FX removal of them flying through the air during the explosion)

• Removed Eddie mentioning Nierika before passing out

• Current version replaces Maroon Five original song with an acoustic version sung by AI Eminem

• Moved up bartender escape to before credits

• During cockroach shot, removed electricity sounds and added more insect crawling and a final symbiote "squish sound" just before the credits of animals with symbiotes

• Removed Knull midcredit scene
